Michael Carlucci, the hot, young musical genius behind the successful rock band, NinetySeven, knows that he’s found the woman for him. He knows they belong together.

For Diane, it’s not as simple. She’s almost twenty years older than Michael. She’s not interested in remarrying – she’s very happy with her life just the way it is, thank you very much. But she can’t deny the growing attraction between them – and it’s not just his touch that she craves. But it’s not until Michael is gone and an old love returns that she realizes just what he meant to her. He said he would love her forever. Can she trust that? Or should she find a safer route to happiness?

A Different Kind of Forever is the story about two complicated people finding – and trying to hold on – to love.

"This story is a fantastic love story, but is also socially relevant, and pushes the reader to think. Add humor and a few steamy love scenes, and you have a wonderful way to pass a few hours."

"...the book was fun, kept moving forward and well written. Since I've been there I could believe the story, all of it! Can't wait for her next book."

Baron Fulke Wynland has been granted guardianship of his brother’s heirs despite suspicions that he seeks to steal their inheritance. When the king sends a mysterious woman to care for the boys, Fulke is surprised by the lady's hostility toward him--and more surprised to learn she is to be his wife. But when his nephews are abducted, the two must overcome their mutual dislike to discover the boys' fate. What Fulke never expects is to feel for this woman whose peculiar speech, behavior, and talk of dream travel could see her burned as a witch.

The Prodigal Daughter by Patricia Enyi

Look what we found! A Kindle Romance Novel for $2.99 / £1.93!

Loyce is as beautiful as she is intelligent. Like the girls in her close-knit group, she looks forward to college, marriage, and a family of her own. When Loyce's friends arrange a surprise party for her, though, it has life-changing consequences. The plan is for her to lose her virginity with Quintin, a charming young man who is also the local heartbreaker. Loyce and Quintin subsequently fall in love, but their joy quickly turns to sorrow when Loyce's parents renounce her wishes to marry a non-Catholic. In her time of desolation, Loyce turns away from God and the faith that has always sustained her. Can she find her way back to God and true love...?

Reviews:

"The Prodigul Daughter follows Loyce a girl struggling to fullfill her parents expectations as well as find her self. This follows her from highschool through adulthood and all the challanges in between from peer pressure to finally settling down to raise a family.Very well written you feel like you know Loyce and can relate to her struggles.A very inspiring story anyone can relate to."

"The Prodigal Daughter is more than just a coming of age story. It provides insight into the challenges that immigrant families in America must face. The story follows Loyce, the oldest daughter of Nigerian parents, from the age of 18 until age 30. She is struggling with fulfilling the high academic, social and religious expectations of her parents, while at the same time maintaining her friendships with girls whose families do not subscribe to the same rigorous demands. The author, Patricia Enyi, did a wonderful job of keeping the story moving, yet she did not skimp on vivid descriptions and necessary details that helped me to feel like I really knew the characters, particularly Loyce and her father, as well as the customs and culture of Nigerian families. I would definitely recommend this book to all readers, but teenage girls would benefit from reading The Prodigal Daughter as it is realistic, and it teaches us that there are times in life that it is important to stand by our decisions despite pressures from the outside world. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future."

Reviews:

"I am a sucker for recapturing lost love stories and Second Chance Love was a great reunited lovers story."

"This was a good read for me. I love reading stories of reunited love, they make for a wonderful read. The opening scene of the book caught my attention immediately and kept my interest until the end. The author started with their teenage years which I enjoyed reading; for the first couple of chapters we were taken from the past to present periodically as we got the history of Liam and Teegan. Liam was sexy and very sweet the way her cared for Teegan. Teegan had her issues before moving back home but I liked reading about her. I enjoyed reading the supporting characters that the author introduces us to. Lucy and Oliver were great additions in shaking up the main characters, and causing trouble that made for an engaging read. James, Susan and the kids were a delight to read about as well. Though the author gave us a nice plot and story, she also gave us steamy intimacy scenes that were an added bonus. We were also given a sexy epilogue that I liked and thought ended perfectly."

"Adrienne Thompson's "Been So Long" was a fabulous read. Once I picked the book up, I could not put it down. I completed it in a matter of hours. It was an emotionally intense read with unbelievable heart wrenching events. When I made it to the end of the book, I didn't want it to end. I wanted more of the life of these characters. With this said, I give Adrienne Thompson 5 well deserved stars. I look forward to reading more of her books."

Bobby Stark has evidence that will prove his younger brother has been framed for arson and murder. He wants that evidence to get to his brother's lawyer, and he tries to tell Cathy where he's hidden it. Unfotunately, he can only manage to give her a cryptic piece of the location before he dies.

The man who killed Bobby saw him talking to her and assumes she knows where the evidence is hidden. He wants it back and he'll do whatever it takes to get it, including following her and trying to kidnap her.

Cathy enlists the aid of attorney Peter Lowell and Danny Stark, Bobby's prickly, difficult younger brother, as well as a handsome private detective to help her find the evidence before the killers do.

Reviews:

Five Stars: "Ms. McCullough is an excellent writer and this is a terrific story. Once I started reading I couldn't stop and all my previous engagements had to be put on hold until I finished. I was racking my brain trying to solve the mystery right along side Cathy, and I was falling in love along with her also. Karen McCullough is moved to my must buy list. Read this story. It's great!"
- Reviewed by: Natalie Brunelle, Scribes World Reviews.

Five Stars: "A QUESTION OF FIRE is well-crafted, well-written, well-done! Karen McCullough has created a memorable heroine in Cathy Bennett. She's smart, multi-faceted and interesting - someone you'll really enjoy getting to know. And Peter Lowell is the perfect foil to balance her! From their battles over red meat versus salad to their clash with brutal enemies wanting to destroy them, these two forge a partnership you'll cheer for enthusiastically. This book is a terrific read. Keep writing, Karen.... I'll be waiting for more!!"
-- Reviewed by: Ellie Kinnon for eBook Connections

"A Question of Fire is a page-turner that I just couldn't put down. I really enjoyed the heroine, especially her sense of humor! It made a terrific romantic suspense story even more fun to read, as I never knew what Cathy's reaction to any situation was going to be.
"The dialogue between Cathy and Peter is especially good. Two people with some serious lifestyle differences, it was interesting to watch them negotiate as they dug deeper into their investigation. Danny was a great character and the one who grows the most over the course of the story. Ed Hammond plays a big part in the mystery and was really well depicted. My favorite of the wonderful secondary characters were Fred and Emily Martin, though they only appear briefly toward the end.
"A terrific suspense story, with a wonderful - and funny - heroine! Ms. McCullough is certainly an author I'll be reading again.

"Nan Reinhardt's debut is nothing less than fun! And if you're a fan of Irish pubs (who isn't)and delicious hunks (who isn't?), there's really no way you can go wrong with this. Katy Ruth Gilligan is a wonderful heroine and Jack Walsh is...oh, my. The supporting cast is terrific, too, and Nan could find lots of stories in them to tell (even though some of them are already married.) No less satisfying than Katy and Jack's story is Muriel and Doyle's. My only regret is that it was such a fast read!"

Reader Alert!

Matthew Goddard's lover Isabel may be a clockwork automaton, but that doesn't prevent them from enjoying forbidden, uninhibited sex at every opportunity.

First united in Pompeii as a privileged merchant's daughter and a slave gladiator, their young love is cut short when Vesuvius unexpectedly erupts. After several botched attempts, their angels get one final chance to bring the couple together and personally escort them back to war-torn Italy, nearly two thousand years later.

The Mooncussers, a local band of wreckers, has struck again. Should she save this man who might cause problems for her family or allow the sea to reclaim him?

Reviews:

"Janet Cooper's lastest historical romance adds a bit of mystery to a fast-paced tale about the early days of the Coast Guard. You'll love her heroine, a colonial widow who's also a mid-wife who rescues the hero after a terrible NorthEaster hits the East coast..."

"I really enjoyed this story - great character conflict and interesting historical details made this plot come alive. Going to look for other books by this author!"

So when her foreman suggests she hire on his son Gil Montgomery, who just got home from the war, Jenny jumps at the opportunity of having another skilled cowboy around.

Gil was used to taking orders, even from women. What he wasn't prepared for was the feelings this little firecracker of a woman triggered in him. Jenny is a lot like the bronco she's rescued and is now trying to break. The unexpected death of her husband has left her jaded and afraid to risk her heart getting broken again. Somehow, he has to gain her trust and prove that he isn't going anywhere.

Reviews:

4 Stars from Romantic Times!

TwoLipsReviews: Renegade Hearts is a beautiful story about faith, perseverance, hard work, and the ability to love again. Anne Patrick did a wonderful job on Jenny and Gil's story and on describing the workings of a ranch. This is a book that was well worth reading and will definitely be read again.

Martha's Bookshelf gave it 4.5 stars! The characters are real and draw you into their world. Even young Zach is a well developed character and you can feel the exuberant boy in him. The author portrays good detail for the cattle ranching and breeding business that provides fullness for the setting and plot. There are trained horses, horses to be trained and foals to marvel over. The plot includes a bit of thievery and suspense, in addition to the romance. Both plot elements kept me interested in how things would be handled...This is a truly lovely, sweet read that will leave you with a nice "ahhh" felling when it is done.

A match seemingly made in heaven...until morning rolls around and Shaun can't bring himself to say good-bye. Can he win her over with his secret weapon, a Sweet Irish Kiss, or is Rachel still too scared to love?

Reviews:

  • ARe and BookStrand chick-lit and multicultural bestseller.
  • BookStrand Mainstream Romance bestseller.
"Ms. Kenrick's writing style flows nicely throughout the story. Her attention stays more on the characters rather than the setting which is fitting for the genre of the novella. I like her ability to dig deep within the characters feelings allowing them to step up and tell their story. It is as if the author really took the back seat on this one. Very well written indeed! JoAnne Kenrick knows how to write unique, if not quirky, characters that stay with me long after I've finished reading their stories." -- Talina, Night Owl Romance

"One word describes Shaun...well, the whole book really: SEXY. Yup. This is one smokin' hot, sexy read! JoAnne Kenrick took a mix of British, splashed it with Irish brogue and good looks, and whipped her readers a HEA story you WON'T forget! " -- Reviews by Molly

Night Swimming by Niki Burnham

Look what we found! A Kindle Romance Novel for $1.99 / £1.32!

From RITA-Award winning author Niki Burnham, a classic short story about finding love where you least expect it.

"Just right for beach towel reading." -- Publishers Weekly

* * *

Wynn O'Malley is not a fan of Minnesota summers. Marathon minimum-wage shifts at the Dairy Darling with her boss, Mean Raymond, hanging over her shoulder aren't exactly her idea of a good time. When she hears about a summer pre-college writing program in Delaware, she's all over it. However, the education Wynn gets is anything but what she expects.

* Night Swimming is a short story of approximately 50 pages/12,500 words. Previously published by Scholastic. *

Review:

"This is a really short (Takes 15 minutes to read) story that is written from first person point of view. The inner dialogue of the main character Wynn is entertaining and truthful; hitting some of the insecurities of a high school girl as she tries to find her place. Although I did really enjoy the story, it was too quick and ends just as it is getting started, so I hope there is more in the future.

Wynn is very pale; very blond hair, crystal blue eyes and white skin and this makes her stand out in the summer when everyone else gets tan. She decided to head off to summer school in Delaware so that her friends don't, once again, accuse her of being anti-social or mad at them when she refuses to hang out at the beach. She signs up for a creative writing class and meets Caleb, the most insightful guy, on her first day. Just as they are getting to know each other, the story ends.

My absolute favorite character in the story is Wynn's roommate, Kelly. She is a talkative, high energy girl who has no boundaries. I loved her and thought she made the story interesting. Maybe a sequel that includes Kelly in more of the storyline will be next (ahem)."

Secrets & Lies by Tracy James Jones

Look what we found! A Kindle Romance Novel for $2.99 / £1.95!

“Secrets & Lies,” is an in-depth emotional journey into the private lives of four central characters that unfolds as a provocative multi-cultural modern romance with a twist.

Secrets, as they are, rarely devastate the national population as a whole. They are more often limited to the individual going on about their lives. That is what this story is about, a group of not-so-ordinary people, all from very different backgrounds, whose secrets and lies leaves a trail of honest deception waiting to upset the rituals of their daily existence.
* * *
Kennedy Jordan is a handsome young man with a secret past and a challenging future that keeps him in the balance between having what he wants versus what others expect of him.

Camilla Vargas is a beautiful ambitious young woman with big dreams of success that she has planned to obtain by any means possible, and vows to not let anything keep her from it.

Ulanda Jefferson is a hip outspoken fashionista with a fiery attitude. Armored with sharp-wit and an uncensored tongue, she is more than just a force to be reckoned with.

Bren Searcy is a grown-up lost in transition, (literally from male to female). There is almost nothing she wouldn’t bear to hang onto the happiness she has finally found.
* * *
In the end, for everyone involved, even the elements of true confessions gets lost in translation as the explicit details of who they are brings the group together in a surprising, yet necessary finale that could change the course of their lives forever…

Reviews:

"This book is full of surprises. The very nature of each lie and secret as they are finally exposed is at once heartbreaking and hopeful. If desire is the compass that guides us to our destiny then each character in this story must do what we all must do, learn to live the life that they were born to live. That is the ultimate challenge for all of us! Prepare to be faced with the honest truth even it makes you uncomfortable."

"This was a powerful book. It will have you quickly turning the pages and the final revelation will blow you away."

Creole Escape by Amber Manuel

Look what we found! A Kindle Romance Novel for $2.99!

Why does it feel like she's hiding something? It is the question that haunts Detective Luke Dean, distracting him from his love affair with work like nothing ever has before. Or is it the way he seems to fall into her eyes any time he sees her that distracts him more?

Trista Darling should be able to resist him. He's a detective, and has the resources to look deep into her past, a history that's anything but stellar. But how can she resist Luke when he is the first man who has ever made her feel this way? What's more, does she even want to?

Reviews:

"I am a first time buyer of an ebook, and I chose this book for various reasons.....one being that I am from the Southern Louisiana area and second.....I personally know the author. I must say, it is an excellent book. I higghly recommend it to anyone that just enjoys reading. However, it is true.....you will NOT want to put it down once you begin! I anticipate more books from this author, as she is a wonderfully talented person!!!"

"I bought this book on a Thursday, but waited until Friday to start it. That was a wise move. When I wasn't reading it, I was wondering what was going to happen next, and speculating on the probably fate of the characters. Adding the local color of New Orleans, a city that I have fond childhood/ young adult memories of, and the book is a definite keeper. Trista and Luke were fun, Charlie was a hoot (gotta love the Cajun - and yes, people really do talk that way). If you like mystery thriller/romances with strong heroines, you'll love this book."

★★★★★ Readers Favorite rated 5-Stars by Fiona Ingram
"Passion is the keynote of this novel: abundantly clear in the passion of the main characters, the robust energy of the age, and the pulse of action that creates an energetic and well-paced novel. The author has a wonderful turn of phrase, creating a sense of the opulence and oftentimes excessive luxuriance of the era. Food, drink, clothing, entertainment, and appetites are all described in glowing detail in an era that celebrated abundance and sensual gratification. Although this is the third book in a series, and readers would derive even greater enjoyment by reading the first two as well, this story can stand alone with enough back history threaded through to keep readers in touch with prior events. Highly recommended. "

★★★★★ Night Owl Reviews rated 5-Stars Top Pick All Time Keeper Shelf by SWurman
"Once again Lucinda Brant provides the reader with an extraordinary look into polite society of years gone by and made sure we were aware of all their foibles. No lack for adventure and suspense in her latest foray into London's society, AUTUMN DUCHESS definitely moves up the ranks to one of my historical romance favourites".

She can't forget him--He can't remember her
Together, they must discover the healing power of unforgettable love

The day Lieutenant Matthew Foster departed for his so-called 'tour' in Vietnam, he never expected a sudden change in his itinerary would include an extended stay in the horrific Hanoi Hilton. Six years later, he's finally released with the other POWs during Operation Homecoming. Unfortunately, his memories before his capture were erased by the complimentary torture provided by the hotel's concierge. Due to prior facial injuries and the beard concealing his gauntness, he looks nothing like the boyish photo in his military file.

When the Army informs Matt he has a wife and he was mistakenly declared dead, he's sure Abby must have made a new life for herself. He doubts the bitter man he's become can salvage the boy she once cared for, so to be fair to her, he decides to simply write a note to wish her well and leave. But before he does, he can't resist going to Redemption, PA, to catch a glimpse of the woman he'd loved enough to marry.

The irony of the small town's name is totally eclipsed by Matt's dread that he'll discover he's lost something truly worth remembering. That fear becomes reality when he learns Abby is engaged, and he's a daddy! Luckily, his wife doesn't recognize him, so Matt could still walk away from the beautiful stranger who's been starring in his X-rated dreams. However, he could never, ever abandon his sons.

The clock is ticking. Any day, the military will inform Abby he's alive, and her wedding is in only six weeks. It doesn't give Matt much time to discover if he can reclaim the love the war stole from him.

Justice for Emily by Sandy Wolters

Look what we found! A Kindle Paranormal Romance Novel for $2.51 / £1.95!

The Paranormal Romance Guild nominated Justice For Emily as one of 2011's best reads.

Rachael Merchant is on a cross country trip running from the tragic images of her last case that are embedded deep in her soul. She is a City of Phoenix Homicide Detective that is trying to deal with the freak show her life has become.

Three days ago, she was sitting in a hospital room with a man that had just murdered his three small children because he was angry his wife had left him. After making the arrest, she let the perpetrator know that when he got out of prison she was coming after him. He would not be able to hide from her. She left the hospital, went back to work and quit on the spot.

After a great deal of persuading, her captain convinced her that an indefinite leave of absence was in order instead of quitting. She went home, packed her bags and jumped in the car. With no destination in mind, she just drove.

Rachael found herself on the side of the road, unsure of where she was and on the phone with her partner. All she wanted to do was run as fast and as far as she could from the image of those three small babies with bullets in their bodies.

Officer Patrick Sheehan pulls in front of Rachael while she is bent over the hood of her car looking at a map. He overhears the conversation between Rachael and her partner and thanks fate for dropping a homicide detective right in his lap. His good friend, Emily, was murdered just days ago and Patrick knows who killed her, her husband and his boss, the Chief of Police of Brownwood, Texas.

Boyd Campbell has taken extreme measures to cover up his wife's murder but Patrick is going to do everything in his power to put this monster away. He doesn't care what he has to do or say to get this cop to stay and work this case. He needs her help and she is just going to have to deal with it. She could just blame fate for bringing her here when he needed her expertise. After all, the only important thing at the moment is getting Justice For Emily.

Reviews:

"This is the first historical romance set in Nigeria that I have read. Kiru Taye's debut novella is an amazing introduction to the love lives of pre-colonial Igbo people in south-eastern Nigeria and the setting is done perfectly. There is a mixture of traditions, culture and language that puts you right in the place and time"

"Obinna is almost not an African man except that he is.... a wise sensitive African man! He is my very reason for loving this book! African men are usually portrayed as brash, insensitive and riding roughshod over their women. This book tells a different story, a true story of the many sensitive, gentle and wise men, who with patience, demonstrate love daily to their women and earn their respect in ways that no-one else can begin to understand.

Obinna rocks! And if anyone ever thought he was weak because he was kind, his attempt to re-claim his wife, his release of her and their final stance as a couple, leaves no doubt in any mind who is captain of that ship.....yes! A true African man.

Kiru smolders with the sensitivity of the loved in describing this man. I am totally bowled over by how in tune she is with how hard it is for him but she rides it out authentically and ahh! What can I say?

I am only worried that too many women will demand this level of sensitivity from our men and I daresay they may be disappointed.....this one is an exceptional man!

An exceptional book, well worth the time, money and frustration.....Sigh!"
