Sherwood Ltd. by Anne R. Allen

Here's a Kindle Romance Novel Mystery for $2.99 / £1.53!

A Camilla Randall Mysteries!

Sherwood.

The name immediately conjures up images of Richard Greene, Michael Praed and Russel Crowe. Or maybe that sly fox in the Disney version.

Only, in Anne R. Allen's latest rom-com mystery the fox is a coyote and there's no Robin Hood.

Or is there?

In her usual inimitable fashion Allen peels back the layers, one hilarious subplot after another, until you just never know what's real and what's not. Rather like the Robin Hood legend.

When the Manners Doctor, Camilla Randall, flies into Robin Hood airport with a suitcase in one hand and a book contract in the other she thinks she's leaving all her problems behind and is about to start a new life.

If you look very carefully you may just spot the Sheriff of Nottingham, Maid Marian and even Little John hidden away. But as for Robin Hood himself... You'll just have to read it and find out.

Reviews:

"Fast paced, adult content, well constructed, delightful."

"Nottingham was never as much fun as it is in Anne Allen's twisted take on Robin Hood and his porny men. And who better to wield her wit and wide-eyed innocence than Camilla Randall, the Manners Doctor? Sherwood Limited is hysterical good fun. You'll chortle your way through Camilla's hardships, find yourself flummoxed by a stunningly portrayed citizen of Buttonwillow, meet Much the miller's son in his canine form, and you'll root root root for your favorite Manners Doctor in her new porn-publisher-wants-to-try-something-literary world."

Bringing you the best romance books available!

  2. Citizen of Buttonwillow? I grew up in Tulare County. I know where the "real" Buttonwillow is located! Sherwood Limited sounds like another great read. I love Camilla!

  3. Jennifer--You're from near Buttonwillow? How cool. I've driven through there a couple of times going inland from the Central Coast (where I live.) I loved the name and had been looking for a way to use it in a story for a while. Because one of the themes of Sherwood is how the image we have of places can be very different from the reality, I wanted a character from the part of California that is NOT surfers and movie stars or San Francisco hipsters.

I also use that misconception in The Gatsby Game, which is partly set in Taft. Easterners who arrive thinking they're going to lie around on a CA beach get awfully disappointed. :-)
